NUTTER FORT VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT

HARRISON COUNTY, WV ENGINE COMPANY 7

Scott Robinson Memorial

R.I.P FORMER ASST. CHIEF SCOTT "SCOTTIE" ROBINSON

11/5/67 - 12/9/07

It is with deep regret that NFFD announces the passing of one our own. Former Asst. Chief Scott "Scottie" Robinson passed away on Sunday Decmeber 9th, 2007 due to an extended illness. He was 40 years old. He is survived by his ex wife and 3 beautiful children. Scott has been a member of NFFD for 20 years and has had an impact of everyone in it. He will be sadly missed by us all. Scott was always be the 1st one cracking the jokes and pulling the pranks, but when those tones dropped he was always one of the 1st ones on the truck. His services were held on Thursday December 13th, 2007. He was given a full fireman's funeral. We at NFFD would like to say thank you to all of the surrounding fire departments who showed up to pay their final respescts to Scottie. Scottie you have touched us all in so many ways it is undescribable. Rest in Peace friend.

****A huge thanks goes out to Lumberport VFD Co. 4 and West Milford VFD Co. 15 for covering our area while we laid our fallen brother to rest.****

Volunteer Firefighter's Prayer

God, please, as you tuck them in tonight

          Keep them safe...

Let me not have to hear their cries.

From a careless act of fate;

Keep their parents all aware; the fragilness

Of each youth soul...

Don't let them waiver from their role of watching out for them.

Will not, a fire in the night and drange me

From my slumber,

To listen to the greiving hearts or the

Gratitude of others.

I don't want to her the siren for an auto wreck tonight.

I've untangled enough metal with the jaws of life.

And when I wake tomorrow, grant me patience.

When I see a mother driving with her child

Without a safety seat

Grant me wisdom in the situations I might face with each new day.

In case, by chance, there might be a newborn baby on the way,

Just in case I lose the fight for someone's life I battled,

Remind me that I'm fallible, just as human as the rest...

Give me courage to move on although

it may not be enough and let me always give

...my best
